Lauren Palmaccio

Lauren Palmaccio, LMHC

Lauren Palmaccio is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She has worked for over a decade to provide cognitive behavioral and strength-based therapy to adults, adolescents and children.

Patients can receive a wide variety of counseling services at Palmaccio Therapy, including individual counseling, family and couples therapy, as well as workshops, according to their needs and preferences.

As a licensed Psychotherapist, Lauren Palmaccio specializes in the emotional and behavioral challenges of children and adolescents, couples and marriage counseling, as well as anxiety, depression, and trauma or PTSD counseling.

A Compassionate Approach
Lauren Palmaccio embraces an approach to clinical counseling and therapy that helps her to identify her clients’ therapeutic needs with compassion. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to work together with patients to uncover any unhealthy or negative thought patterns that might contribute to self-destructive behaviors and belief systems.

Play Therapy is a structured, theoretically-based approach to therapy, that builds on the normal communicative and learning processes of children.

Couples therapy and workshops are offered to help patients who are in a relationship, contemplating marriage, or are currently married. It can also be helpful with patients who are dealing with difficult issues surrounding a separation, break-up or divorce.

Education and Licensing

Lauren Palmaccio, LMHC is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association. She is also a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals and is a recipient of National Honors in Psychology.

She currently holds certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and maintains licensure in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Prior to practicing in the Private Sector, Lauren Palmaccio served as the Clinical Director of a Massachusetts treatment facility, and as the Clinical Team Lead of a Behavioral Health Contract in Rhode Island. Palmaccio Therapy has two locations, one in Attleboro, Massachusetts and another in Barrington, Rhode Island.

Kristi LombardoKristi Lombardo, NCC, LMHC

Kristi Lombardo is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. She enhances her clinical skills through continuing education courses and workshops to remain current with best practices.

Kristi’s goal is to create a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment. She will assist you with capitalizing upon your strengths and talents, teach effective coping skills and identify strategies for growth and development with children, teens, adults, families and couples.

Kristi has experience working in a variety of settings including public schools, a partial hospital program and a substance abuse clinic. Kristi demonstrates a commitment to all populations served along with a genuine and empathic approach. Specialties include emotional and behavioral challenges, couples/marriage counseling, panic, anxiety, depression, self-destructive and risk-taking behaviors.

Play therapy and Cardio Kids Yoga will be shared with purpose for children and teens. Cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques will be incorporated to redirect toxic thought patterns. We will set realistic goals to promote balance and improve overall health and well being.

Kristi Lombardo, NCC, LMHC is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association and is certified in school counseling as well as teaching the ancient science of yoga to toddlers to teens. She takes pride in continuing her education and is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).

Shannon GarrisonShannon Garrison, LMHC

Shannon Garrison, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Art Therapist providing services at our Attleboro, MA office. She utilizes traditional therapy and therapeutic art processes to assist children, adolescents, adults and couples in addressing emotional and behavioral challenges. Shannon specializes in creating a safe, comfortable therapeutic environment that fosters growth and allows for teaching effective coping strategies.

Shannon Garrison embraces a strength-based approach to clinical counseling that helps her to identify her clients’ therapeutic needs with compassion. She also uses both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help uncover any unhealthy thought patterns that might contribute to self-destructive behavior.

As an Art Therapist Shannon uses drawing, painting, collage and sculpture to encourage self-expression, increase self-awareness and build on the normal communicative and learning processes of traditional therapy.

Shannon Garrison, LMHC has 10 years experience working in a variety of settings including public schools (K-12) as well as a day treatment and partial hospital program that treated both mental health and substance abuse patients. Shannon demonstrates a commitment to all populations served along with a genuine and empathetic approach.

Deb DeragonDeb Deragon, LICSW

Deb Deragon is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with Masters Degrees in Social Work and Public Administration. Providing services at our Barrington, RI office, Deb strives to create a comfortable and therapeutic environment that will allow you and your family to reach your goals and overcome challenges. Deb focuses on individualized and collaborative treatment with children, teens, adults, families and couples to assist in achieving personal wellness.

Deb has over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families in a variety of settings. Deb has worked with children, youth, adults and families in overcoming stressors, crisis, and reaching their goals in education, employment and family cohesion. Deb has most recently worked with children and families involved in the child welfare system as a counselor and clinical supervisor. Deb’s focus is building on strengths to help empower individuals and families to reach their highest potential. Specialties include adoption and foster care concerns, parenting, anxiety, self-esteem, communication and coping with change and stress.

Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness techniques will be utilized to meet your needs in an individualized, collaborative approach to help you reach your goals.

Deb Deragon, LICSW, is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and is licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Rhode Island. She takes pride in continuing her education and maintains licensure in Rhode Island.

Susan Freyre, LICSW

Susan Freyre is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in both Rhode Island and California. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston College.

Her practice philosophy is to utilize an empathic, compassionate, consultative and collaborative approach to the therapeutic process. Her goal is to help her patients identify barriers to change and to provide practical skills that will enhance their ability to cope; while recognizing and fostering their personal strengths..

Susan is committed to the mental health and well being of her patients. Her theoretical foundation lies in psychodynamic theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, however, her philosophy employs a tailored approach to the individual and incorporates techniques such as crisis intervention, family system and cognitive behavior therapies (CBT). Susan specializes in working with various disabilities, including but not limited to: PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity/Attention Deficit Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Schizophrenia, trauma and bereavement.

Susan has experience addressing the needs of diverse populations in clinical sections including residential treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, outpatient mental health clinics and private practice.

Kristen ReberKristen Reber, LMHC

Kristen Reber is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Rhode Island. She is dedicated to continued education and constant growth as a clinician to best suit her clients needs.

Kristen prides herself in a collaborative approach with her clients, developing an individualized treatment plan based on each of her clients specific needs, talents and therapeutic goals. Her main goal in counseling is to develop a genuine therapeutic relationship with her clients leading to a safe environment where each of her clients can reach their desired goals. Kristen specializes in working with families, adults, young adults teens and pre-teens.

Kristen has worked in the field of counseling for just under 10 years. During that time she has gained experience working in a variety of settings including a group home, a college counseling center and an intensive in home family therapy program.

Kristen has worked with clients to build self-esteem, empower them to make positive changes, develop positive coping skills, deepen self-awareness, rebuild family relationships, develop open communication and reach their desired goals through collaborative therapy.

Kristen takes a strength-based approach with her clients, providing specialized care using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy and Family Systems Therapy depending on the clients needs.

Mallory Billings-LitkeMallory Billings-Litke, LICSW

Mallory Billings-Litke is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2006 from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Specialties include adolescents, trauma, behavioral challenges, family therapy, groups, depression and anxiety. Mallory is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and has training in both trauma-sensitive yoga and “Relax and Renew” Yoga, which focuses on restorative yoga postures to address anxiety, depression, insomnia and pain. She is an Adjunct Faculty at Simmons College School of Social Work. Mallory continues to learn new techniques and keep up with best practices for treatment through regular attendance in continuing education conferences.

Mallory’s therapeutic approach utilizes mindfulness, including yoga and breathing techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy to explore maladaptive coping skills and a strengths based approach for esteem building. She works with the client to identify both short and long-term goals and develop a plan together to work toward a more positive future.

Mallory has worked in the field for over a decade and has served as the Director of Family Services at a residential school, the Clinical Team Lead for a Behavioral Health contract, a Psychiatric Social Worker on a secure inpatient unit, and as a clinician in an outpatient mental health agency. Mallory was a co-presenter for “Bending Without Breaking: The use of yoga in trauma informed care” at the Massachusetts Society for a World Free of Sexual Harm by Youth conference.
